Purchase & Product Specialist – IoT Hardware & Software

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented, technically proficient professional to join Bosch Group’s Mobility Platform & Solutions team in Bengaluru as a Purchase & Product Specialist for IoT hardware and software. You will be responsible for sourcing, evaluating and procuring a wide range of IoT components and associated licenses, ensuring they meet our quality, cost and schedule requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Source, evaluate and procure IoT hardware such as cameras, RFID readers & antennas, LiDAR, radar systems and telematics devices.
• Assess and acquire related software licenses, ensuring compliance with usage policies.
• Conduct technical and commercial evaluations, preparing Decision Analysis and Resolution (DAR) documents.
• Identify, assess and onboard suppliers in line with global procurement standards.
• Collaborate with engineering, product and project teams to translate technical needs into procurement strategies.
• Support contracting processes together with procurement and legal teams.
• Implement efficient procurement tools and processes to improve sourcing transparency.
• Monitor supplier performance, driving continuous improvement in quality, delivery and cost.
• Stay updated on emerging IoT technologies, market trends and regulatory changes.

Required profile

• Strong technical background in IoT devices and software licensing.
• Proven experience in supplier evaluation and onboarding.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally with engineering and legal teams.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
