Purchase Manager & Assistant Purchase Manager (Coimbatore)

About the role

ThawInfra, a turnkey construction and interiors solutions provider, is expanding its procurement team in Coimbatore. We are hiring a Purchase Manager and an Assistant Purchase Manager to support our growing project portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Identify material requirements from project schedules and BOQs.
• Source, evaluate and negotiate with vendors to secure cost‑effective, quality supplies.
• Issue and track purchase orders, ensuring timely delivery and accurate documentation.
• Maintain a supplier database, monitor vendor performance and conduct market research on price trends.
• Record purchase transactions, reconcile invoices with purchase orders and delivery notes.
• Manage vendor payments, procurement‑related cash flow and prepare cost variance reports.
• Ensure compliance with GST, TDS and other statutory requirements and keep audit‑ready records.
• Collaborate with project managers, site engineers and finance teams, providing MIS reports on purchase costs and supplier performance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting or Civil Engineering.
• 3‑5 years of procurement experience in construction for the Purchase Manager; 2‑3 years for the Assistant role.
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, suppliers and market rates.
• Excellent negotiation, analytical and communication abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP/accounting software such as Tally or SAP.
