Purchase Executive

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Purchase Executive to manage vendor relationships, coordinate tenders, and oversee product procurement. The role involves sourcing, negotiation, and ensuring timely delivery, with occasional field visits to supplier sites.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end procurement activities including sourcing, vendor evaluation, price negotiation and purchase finalisation.
• Collect quotations, prepare comparative statements and analyse proposals based on price, quality and delivery timelines.
• Issue purchase orders, track deliveries and resolve any supply or quality issues.
• Develop and maintain a reliable vendor base, conduct market research and monitor price trends.
• Coordinate with internal departments (Sales, Operations, Finance, Stores) to align material requirements and inventory levels.
• Maintain procurement documentation such as contracts, tenders, invoices and ensure compliance with company policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Commerce, Business Administration, Logistics or a related field.
• 1–2 years of experience in procurement, vendor negotiation and tendering processes.
• Proven ability to work under pressure, manage multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP / procurement software (SAP, Oracle preferred).
• Advanced Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Strong analytical and negotiation capabilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for vendor management.
