Purchase Executive

About the role

The Purchase Executive will lead the procurement function, ensuring that the company obtains quality goods and services at the best possible cost and on schedule. This position works closely with internal departments and external suppliers to support smooth production and operations.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate potential vendors, maintaining an up‑to‑date vendor database.
• Issue enquiries for all requisitions and compare supplier offers.
• Negotiate terms, pricing and agreements with suppliers.
• Create purchase orders using the company’s procurement software.
• Track orders, monitor delivery timelines and follow up with vendors to ensure timely receipt.
• Coordinate with Stores and Production departments for seamless material flow.
• Liaise with Accounts for payment releases.
• Develop new vendors in collaboration with the QA department and manage qualification documentation.
• Maintain records of daily consumables, purchase files and material receipts.

Required profile

• Graduate degree with 1‑2 years of relevant procurement experience.
• Experience in API pharma or chemical sectors.
• Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
• Strong negotiation abilities.

• Proficiency with purchase order or procurement software.
