Purchase Executive – Automotive Ancillary

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic Purchase Executive to lead procurement activities for our plastic manufacturing operations within the automotive ancillary sector. The role focuses on sourcing raw materials, components and tooling, ensuring cost efficiency and supplier performance.

Key responsibilities

• Source and procure raw materials, components, consumables and tooling for manufacturing operations.
• Identify, evaluate and onboard suppliers based on quality, cost and delivery performance.
• Raise and monitor purchase orders in line with production schedules and inventory levels.
• Negotiate prices, payment terms and contracts with suppliers.
• Track market trends and implement cost‑saving initiatives.
• Coordinate with production, stores, quality and finance teams to ensure end‑to‑end procurement alignment.
• Maintain documentation for audits, vendor evaluations and management reporting.
• Assist in new product development (NPD) sourcing activities.
• Ensure compliance with corporate procurement policies and ethical standards.

Required profile

• MBA in Operations Management (mandatory).
• 3–4 years of hands‑on procurement experience in an automotive ancillary or Tier 1 supplier environment.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of ERP systems (SAP, Oracle or others).
• Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint and reporting tools.
• Familiarity with automotive standards and documentation.
• Data analysis using Excel.
