Public Relations Specialist

About the role

Essence Innovation is seeking a Public Relations Specialist to lead its media outreach and brand communication efforts from its Chandigarh office. You will craft press materials, manage journalist relationships, and support the launch of health‑tech products, ensuring the company’s story reaches the right audiences.

Key responsibilities

• Write and distribute press releases, media briefs and other communication assets.
• Develop and execute PR strategies aligned with the company’s mission and product roadmap.
• Coordinate interviews, media briefings and thought‑leadership opportunities for executives.
• Monitor media coverage, track PR metrics and report results to senior leadership.
• Support crisis communication efforts under guidance and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to amplify product updates.

Required profile

• Proven experience in public or media relations, preferably within technology, digital health or related sectors.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a clear, concise style.
• Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Ability to work on‑site in Chandigarh, manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Required skills

• Familiarity with social media platforms for content distribution.
• Experience using basic PR analytics tools to measure campaign impact.
