Public Relations Account Executive

About the role

Mercom India Pvt. Ltd, a subsidiary of Mercom Capital Group, is seeking a Public Relations Account Executive to support PR activities for both the Indian office and its global parent. The role will work closely with the Europe and U.S. client account teams, providing day‑to‑day PR support and ensuring seamless communication across regions.

Key responsibilities

• Provide PR support for Mercom India and Mercom Capital Group.
• Assist the Europe and U.S. client account teams with daily tasks.
• Prepare regular client reports, including media coverage and quarterly activity summaries.
• Create and maintain master conference, award, and media lists.
• Coordinate media research requests and design activities between account teams and graphic designers.
• Monitor media, analyst, and social media coverage that impacts clients and deliver reports to management.
• Research industry trends and compile insights for client strategy.
• Support event management for Mercom trade shows.
• Handle media and analyst inquiries, drafting press releases, pitches, and marketing content.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field.
• Strong writing, copy‑editing, and proofreading abilities.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for building client and media relationships.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced, on‑site environment in Bengaluru.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in public relations strategy development, media relations, and campaign management.
• Experience with PR tools and media monitoring metrics.
• Skills in pitching stories, managing press releases, and coordinating events.
