Proposals Engineer – Techno‑Commercial Offers

About the role

The Proposals Engineer prepares techno‑commercial offers for off‑site modular performance systems, including integrated pump packages and plant rooms for HVAC and fire‑pump applications. The role blends technical engineering, cost estimation and customer liaison within a multidisciplinary project team.

Key responsibilities

• Review customer requirements and prepare technical compliance, including studying BOQs and tender documents.
• Develop accurate equipment selections, engineering calculations, cost estimates and commercial proposals.
• Own the proposal process from enquiry review through commercial submission and order hand‑over.
• Coordinate cross‑functional teams for project handover, ensuring all technical and commercial documentation is complete.
• Identify project risks, monitor margins and cash‑flow, and support sales in opportunity progression.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 3–5 years of experience in proposal or application engineering for HVAC, fire‑pump, or fluid‑management projects.
• Proven ability to work with engineering, manufacturing and project execution teams in an industrial or building‑services environment.

Required skills

• Cost‑estimation tools, primarily Excel‑based or automated solutions.
• Interpretation of engineering drawings, assemblies, fabrication documents and Bill‑of‑Materials management.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Knowledge of HVAC systems, fire‑pumping systems, boiler/chiller plants and cooling towers.
• Ability to prepare and manage techno‑commercial proposals in compliance with customer specifications.
