Projects Lawyer – Associate/Senior Associate

About the role

The firm is seeking a Projects Lawyer at the Associate or Senior Associate level to join its Projects and Infrastructure practice in Gurgaon. The role involves providing legal support for large‑scale energy and infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks and transactional requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Structure and review transaction documents, including concession agreements and power purchase agreements.
• Conduct due‑diligence investigations on companies operating in the energy and infrastructure sectors.
• Advise clients on compliance with sector‑specific laws, policies and regulatory approvals.
• Draft, negotiate and finalize contractual arrangements related to project development.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support project financing and implementation.

Required profile

• Qualified lawyer enrolled with the Bar Council of India.
• 2‑6 years of post‑qualification experience (PQE) in projects, infrastructure or energy law.
• Demonstrated expertise in transaction structuring, regulatory analysis and contract negotiation.
• Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.

Required skills

• Drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements.
• Conducting legal due‑diligence and regulatory compliance reviews.
