Project Quality Lead

About the role

Alstom is seeking a full‑time Project Quality Lead to drive quality excellence across its projects in Coimbatore. You will ensure compliance with Alstom standards, support customer expectations, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to embed quality throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Establish, implement and maintain the Project Quality Management Plan (PQMP) aligned with contract requirements and Alstom processes.
• Conduct criticality assessments using structured techniques such as FMEA to guarantee safety and effective inspection activities.
• Serve as the primary interface for all project quality aspects, including engineering, industrial, and supplier quality.
• Manage and synchronize the quality community that supports project execution.
• Raise awareness of quality plans and deliverables within the core project team and provide regular progress updates.
• Support project audits, reviews, and supplier quality system approvals to ensure compliance with customer requests.

Required profile

• Graduate degree in Engineering.
• 12+ years of experience in quality management or related fields.
• Minimum of 5 years in motor manufacturing processes.
• Experience managing quality tools, problem‑solving methodologies and documentation.
• Strong team and people management skills with the ability to influence cross‑functional, geographically distributed teams.
• Knowledge of quality standards (ISO 9001, IRIS, CMMI, ECM) and lean principles.
• Process‑oriented, customer‑focused mindset with data‑driven decision‑making capabilities.
