Project Manager – Software Delivery

About the role

Cogitate is looking for a Project Manager to lead the delivery of software projects for its insurance clients. You will own the end‑to‑end lifecycle, coordinate cross‑functional teams, and ensure client satisfaction while working in a hybrid environment based in Mumbai.

Key responsibilities

• Initiate, plan, execute, monitor, control and close software delivery projects from start to post‑production support.
• Coordinate engineering, QA, product and client stakeholders to keep delivery aligned with scope, schedule and quality targets.
• Develop and maintain project artefacts such as plans, risk registers, resource allocations and milestone schedules.
• Communicate proactively with clients, manage expectations, surface risks early and provide regular status updates.
• Own internal and external reporting, delivering weekly and monthly performance summaries to senior management.
• Identify, document and escalate risks and issues with impact assessments and recommended mitigations.
• Track project performance metrics including velocity, defect trends, SLA adherence and client health indicators.
• Leverage AI tools (e.g., Copilot, LLM‑based scheduling) to automate reporting, risk scanning and sprint planning.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of experience managing software delivery projects, preferably in the P&C insurance domain.
• Proven ability to lead cross‑functional teams and communicate effectively with senior stakeholders.
• Strong analytical mindset with a proactive approach to risk and issue management.
• Comfortable working in a hybrid setting and adopting AI‑enhanced workflows.
