Project Manager – Lighting Design Projects

About the role

Studio Aurora is looking for an enthusiastic Project Manager to lead lighting design projects from concept through construction. You will work with an international team of experts, coordinating designers, architects and contractors to deliver high‑quality illumination solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead technical delivery of multiple lighting projects, from schematic design to construction administration.
• Coordinate with architects, interior designers, engineers, consultants and contractors to maintain design intent.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, scopes and resource plans, monitoring profitability.
• Implement document‑control processes, ensuring accurate tracking, filing and archiving of all project documents.
• Track RFIs, submittals and shop drawings, conduct site inspections and manage construction documentation.
• Provide technical leadership in meetings, mentor junior staff and ensure clear communication among all stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Architecture, Engineering, Interior Design or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a design or architectural environment, preferably with lighting projects.
• Proficiency in English; Arabic is a plus.
• Strong organizational, communication and leadership abilities.

Required skills

• Knowledge of lighting control systems such as DALI, DMX and 0‑10V.
• Understanding of power distribution, electrical codes and standards.
• Ability to produce single‑line diagrams, panel schedules and wiring schematics.
