Project Manager

About the role

Instem is seeking an experienced Project Manager to act as the primary liaison with customers and lead project delivery across the pre‑clinical and clinical drug discovery software solutions portfolio. The role will be based in Pune with a hybrid schedule, reporting to senior leadership and ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope and budget.

Key responsibilities

• Define project scope, budgets and timelines in collaboration with cross‑functional teams.
• Track, manage and communicate scope changes to internal and external stakeholders.
• Identify, assess and mitigate project risks, developing appropriate mitigation strategies.
• Create and maintain comprehensive project plans and documentation for customers.
• Ensure compliance with quality procedures and month‑end reporting requirements.
• Organise and facilitate internal and external project meetings, preparing agendas and action items.
• Incorporate lessons learned and drive process improvements to increase project efficiency.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing end‑to‑end projects in a software or technology environment.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team‑oriented, fast‑growing organisation.
• Detail‑oriented with a focus on delivering quality outcomes.

Required skills

• Project management methodologies (e.g., Waterfall, Agile).
• Risk management and mitigation planning.
• Project planning tools and documentation creation.
