Project Manager – HVAC Projects (West Mogappair, Chennai)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead end‑to‑end execution of HVAC projects for commercial and industrial clients across Chennai. The role combines strategic planning, on‑site supervision, and client coordination to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain project schedules, resource plans, and material forecasts based on BOQ and client timelines.
• Supervise site installation activities including ducting, copper piping, insulation, testing and commissioning.
• Conduct daily site supervision and ensure compliance with ISHRAE standards, safety norms, and contractual requirements.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, PMC, contractors and architects, handling minutes of meetings and RFIs.
• Monitor budgets, BOQ, RA bills, and cost variances to safeguard project profitability.
• Lead a team of 10‑20 site engineers, supervisors, technicians and subcontractors, driving productivity, safety and quality.
• Prepare DPR, WPR, MOMs, material approvals and project closure documentation.

Required profile

• 10‑15 years of experience managing HVAC projects in commercial/industrial settings (offices, malls, factories, hospitals).
• B.E/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering preferred; strong experience may substitute for a diploma.
• Proven ability to handle multiple sites simultaneously in Chennai.
• Own a two‑ or four‑wheel vehicle and be based in West Mogappair, Chennai.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of VRF, chilled water systems, AHU, FCU, ducting and ventilation.
• Expertise in reading HVAC drawings and performing estimations.
• Proficiency with MS Project or Primavera, MS Office and advanced Excel.
