Project Manager – HVAC Projects (Chennai)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead end‑to‑end HVAC projects for commercial and industrial sites across Chennai. The role involves planning, execution, and supervision of installations while ensuring compliance with industry standards and client expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain project schedules, resource plans, and material forecasts based on BOQ and timelines.
• Oversee site installation activities including ducting, copper piping, insulation, testing and commissioning.
• Conduct daily site supervision and ensure safety, quality, and productivity.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, PMC, contractors, and architects; prepare and circulate meeting minutes.
• Monitor budgets, BOQ, RA bills, cost variances and drive project profitability.
• Lead a team of 10‑20 site engineers, supervisors, technicians and subcontractors.
• Ensure work adheres to ISHRAE standards, safety norms and contractual requirements.
• Prepare DPR, WPR, MOMs, RFIs, material approvals and project closure documentation.

Required profile

• 10‑15 years of experience in HVAC project management, preferably on commercial/industrial projects such as offices, malls, factories or hospitals.
• B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent; strong experience may substitute for formal degree.
• Proven ability to manage multiple sites simultaneously in Chennai.
• Must be based in West Mogappair, Chennai and have personal two‑ or four‑wheel transport.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of VRF, Chilled Water, AHU, FCU, ducting, ventilation and HVAC drawings.
• Experience with estimation and BOQ preparation.
• Proficiency in MS Project or Primavera, MS Office and advanced Excel.
