Project Manager – Fire Fighting

About the role

Elixir Engineering Pvt. Ltd. is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead end‑to‑end fire fighting and fire protection projects across multiple sites. The role combines technical, commercial and project‑management responsibilities to ensure timely, safe and profitable delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, execute and monitor multiple fire protection projects, developing schedules, manpower and material plans while controlling cost, quality and safety.
• Lead project teams including engineers, site supervisors and subcontractors, allocating resources and ensuring productivity.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, PMC representatives and vendors, handling technical, contractual and commercial issues.
• Review drawings, BOQs and specifications, work with design/engineering to resolve design or execution issues.
• Manage procurement and material logistics, ensuring timely delivery of long‑lead items.
• Control project budgets, track profitability, handle measurement, billing and variation orders.
• Ensure compliance with NFPA, IS standards and client specifications, overseeing quality inspections and safety practices.
• Plan testing, commissioning and handover activities, preparing reports and closing punch‑lists.
• Prepare regular MIS reports, highlighting risks, delays and commercial status for senior management.

Required profile

• Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
• 8–12 years of experience in fire fighting / fire protection EPC projects, with at least 3–5 years in a Project Manager or senior project‑management role.
• Proven ability to handle multiple projects and locations simultaneously.
• Experience in industrial, commercial or infrastructure projects is preferred.

Required skills

• Fire Hydrant, Automatic Sprinkler, Fire Water Pump and Fire Fighting Piping systems.
• Fire Protection Equipment, Fire Water Tanks, Pump Rooms and Fire Alarm systems.
• Fire Protection testing, commissioning and industrial fire fighting systems.
• Project BOQ preparation, drawing review, estimation, billing and measurement.
• Knowledge of NFPA and relevant Indian (IS) standards.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Project / Primavera, AutoCAD and project‑management tools.
