Project Manager – CAPEX & Engineering Projects

About the role

The Project Manager will independently lead and deliver assigned CAPEX, brownfield, debottlenecking, reliability improvement, technology upgrade, infrastructure, and sustaining projects. You will be accountable for the full project lifecycle, from concept through commissioning, ensuring safety, quality, schedule, and budget targets are met.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end execution of discipline‑specific project packages, developing execution plans, schedules, resource plans and risk mitigation strategies.
• Coordinate engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning and hand‑over activities, tracking milestones and ensuring timely completion.
• Review engineering deliverables, technical specifications, drawings and design changes to ensure compliance with plant standards and statutory requirements.
• Manage EPC, EPMC, PMC consultants, OEMs, contractors and service providers, evaluating performance and resolving technical issues.
• Monitor approved CAPEX budgets, review estimates, BOQs, variation orders and change requests, driving cost control without compromising safety or quality.
• Oversee site execution, construction quality, pre‑commissioning, commissioning, performance testing and plant hand‑over to Operations.
• Ensure compliance with HSE policies, conduct risk assessments and promote zero‑incident project execution.
• Coordinate with Operations, Maintenance, Procurement, Finance, ESG, Commercial and Safety teams, presenting progress and mitigation plans to management.

Required profile

• Proven ability to independently lead and deliver CAPEX and engineering projects.
• Strong knowledge of project planning, execution, risk management and cost control.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams across engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning.
• Familiarity with contract and vendor management, including EPC and OEM relationships.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and regulatory compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
