Project Accounting Analyst (GB/G)

About the role

BASF is hiring a Project Accounting Analyst (GB/G) in Hyderabad, India, within its Global Business Services unit under Finance, Controlling & Audit. The role supports business units throughout the project lifecycle, from approval and cost allocation to asset capitalization and write-offs, and is part of the new Global Hub in India. The position is permanent and open to on-site work.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily and monthly Project Accounting activities for BASF group companies and businesses in the Americas
• Close companies of medium complexity
• Ensure adequate data quality for the projects of their business units
• Support process improvement by identifying opportunities for automation through new technologies and systems
• Support projects involving mergers, acquisitions and divestitures
• Assist with audits, internal controls and other key organizational tasks

Required profile

• Graduate of Public Accountant, Business Administration or Economics
• Minimum 5 to 8 years of experience in a relevant domain
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills
• Ability to work in a multicultural, fast-paced global environment
• High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, commerce or a related field, and professional qualification such as CA, CMA, CPA, ACCA or CIMA (completed or in progress)
