Program Management Engineer – Automotive Mechatronics

About the role

This position leads the coordination and resolution of open engineering issues across global and local automotive programs. You will ensure that hardware, software and functional specifications meet regulatory and program requirements while driving milestones to successful completion.

Key responsibilities

• Review and track EEME open points (S/W, H/W, functional specs) across multiple projects.
• Analyse background issues with meta‑functions and propose solutions.
• Validate that regional regulatory requirements are satisfied.
• Conduct regular stakeholder meetings to drive milestone completion.
• Monitor test plans and validations to ensure alignment with standards and program timelines.
• Provide weekly status updates on open issues to management.
• Collaborate with Body, Chassis, Interior and other functions for coordinated changes.
• Support plant activities and travel to supplier sites as needed.

Required profile

• B.E./M.E. in Mechanical, Electronics or Mechatronics with 12‑15 years OEM experience.
• Strong knowledge of electrical/electronic components and modules.
• Experience in automotive product lifecycle up to SOP and quality control.
• Proactive problem‑solver with ability to meet cost, performance and quality targets.
• Excellent communication and coordination across global technical centres.
• Program management experience in a multicultural environment.
