Program Coordinator

About the role

The Program Coordinator works closely with a team of Community Mobilizers to drive child‑well‑being initiatives in the Area Development Programme (ADP) of World Vision India. Acting as the primary link between the ADP office and local communities, the role facilitates partnerships, monitors child sponsorship, and supports community‑led protection mechanisms.

Key responsibilities

• Communicate World Vision India’s mission, vision and values to community stakeholders.
• Build capacity of community groups to own child‑well‑being outcomes.
• Identify and develop multi‑stakeholder partnerships at the block level.
• Explore and promote resource diversification opportunities locally.
• Develop and apply locally‑relevant child selection criteria.
• Monitor registered children and ensure compliance with sponsorship standards.
• Facilitate community‑led child monitoring and protection mechanisms.
• Ensure inclusion of the most vulnerable children in programme activities.
• Provide coaching, mentoring and technical support to Community Mobilizers.
• Support community‑based monitoring and reporting of programme impact.

Required profile

• Experience working with community groups and local partners in development settings.
• Ability to facilitate capacity‑building and mentorship activities.
• Strong understanding of child protection and sponsorship processes.
• Excellent communication skills to represent World Vision’s identity.
