Program Coordinator – Climate Health

About the role

PATH is seeking a Program Coordinator to support climate‑health initiatives in Mumbai. The role involves close collaboration with state and city officials to develop heat‑health protocols and provide on‑the‑ground support for the Climate‑Health team.

Key responsibilities

• Liaise with health and related department officials to guide the development of Heat‑Health protocols for Mumbai.
• Coordinate recruitment of community participants for in‑depth interviews and focus group discussions.
• Assist with field visits, stakeholder engagement, and data collection on climate stressors and public‑health outcomes.
• Support identification of climate‑health hazards and provide technical insights on climate impacts.
• Organise meetings and workshops, offering technical and administrative support to meet project milestones and maintain documentation.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in public health, environment, urban planning or related field (preferred).
• At least 2 years of experience in public‑health program planning, implementation, or research.
• Experience working with INGOs, ministries of health, or government agencies in India.
• Familiarity with Indian public‑health initiatives such as NHM, Ayushman Bharat, and related policies.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
• Data analysis and data visualisation capabilities.
• Web‑search skills for gathering relevant data and documents.
