Professor of Finance (Full‑time, Kolkata)

About the role

Amity University seeks a full‑time Professor of Finance to join its faculty in the Greater Kolkata Area. The successful candidate will deliver high‑quality teaching to undergraduate and postgraduate students, develop curricula, and contribute to the university’s research agenda.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver lectures, tutorials, seminars and case‑based sessions in finance, accounting and economics.
• Develop course materials, curricula and assessment tools.
• Supervise student projects, dissertations and provide academic mentoring.
• Conduct research, publish in reputable journals and present at conferences.
• Collaborate with colleagues on departmental initiatives and accreditation processes.
• Build industry linkages for internships, placements and joint research projects.

Required profile

• Doctoral degree (PhD or equivalent) in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a closely related field.
• Demonstrated research record with publications in finance or related areas.
• Prior university‑level teaching experience with strong pedagogical skills.
• Ability to integrate industry practices into curriculum and guide student career pathways.
• Excellent communication, presentation and academic writing abilities.

Required skills

• Strong expertise in corporate finance, financial management and accounting principles.
• Advanced knowledge of economics as it relates to financial markets and policy.
• Proficiency with educational technologies and learning management systems.
