About the role
The university seeks a distinguished Professor of Computer Science to enhance its research ecosystem, postgraduate teaching, and industry collaborations. The successful candidate will lead cutting‑edge research, supervise doctoral candidates, and shape curriculum in emerging technology domains.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and conduct high‑quality research in Computer Science and emerging technologies.
- Publish in SCOPUS/WoS/SCI‑indexed journals and top international conferences.
- Develop and manage funded research projects from government, industry, and international bodies.
- Supervise PhD scholars and guide undergraduate/postgraduate research.
- Establish research labs, centres of excellence, and interdisciplinary initiatives.
- Mentor faculty and scholars to boost departmental research output.
- Forge collaborations with IITs, NITs, reputed universities, research institutes, and industry partners.
- File patents, copyrights, and support technology transfer.
- Contribute to curriculum development in AI/ML, Generative AI, Data Science, Cybersecurity, Cloud Computing, IoT, Blockchain, Quantum Computing, etc.
- Organise and participate in international conferences, workshops, and seminars.
- Support NAAC/NIRF/NBA/QS accreditation and ranking efforts.
Required profile
- PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or a closely related field.
- 12–20 years of academic/research experience with a strong SCOPUS/WoS/SCI publication record.
- Demonstrated success in securing research grants and supervising PhD candidates.
- Evidence of high‑impact, cited publications; patents or technology‑transfer experience is a plus.
- Extensive national and international research network and collaboration experience.
