Teacher's Pathsala is seeking a full‑time Professor to join its campus in Barrackpur‑I. The role involves designing and delivering high‑quality lectures, seminars and practical sessions while fostering an inclusive, student‑centered learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver lectures, seminars and practical sessions aligned with institutional standards.
• Prepare detailed lesson plans and develop learning materials.
• Assess student performance through assignments, examinations and projects, providing constructive feedback.
• Maintain accurate academic records and documentation.
• Mentor and advise students, supervising research projects and theses.
• Participate in departmental meetings, committees and curriculum development initiatives.
• Engage in scholarly activities such as research, publications and conference participation.
• Collaborate with colleagues on academic initiatives and support institutional events and outreach programs.

Required profile

• Advanced academic qualification (Master’s or Doctoral degree) in a relevant discipline.
• Proven experience teaching at the higher‑education level.
• Ability to explain complex concepts clearly and engage diverse learners.
• Strong skills in academic planning, syllabus design and development of learning materials.
• Competence in student assessment and provision of detailed feedback.
• Evidence of scholarly activity (research projects, publications, conference participation).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Commitment to inclusive, non‑discriminatory teaching practices.
• Organizational and time‑management abilities to balance teaching, mentorship and administrative duties.
• Willingness to participate in community outreach and ongoing professional development.

Required skills

• Familiarity with educational technology and basic digital tools for preparing materials, managing records and enhancing classroom engagement.
