Professor – Commerce Faculty (Assistant/Associate/Professor)

About the role

JAIN (Deemed-to-be University) is seeking qualified candidates for faculty positions at the Assistant Professor, Associate Professor and Professor levels in its Department of Commerce. The role involves teaching, research, and academic leadership across a range of specialisations such as Accounts, Audit, Taxation, Finance, General Management, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Analytics and Statistics.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver undergraduate and postgraduate lectures, tutorials and seminars in the assigned specialisation.
• Design and update curricula, assessment tools and learning resources.
• Conduct high‑quality research and publish findings in Scopus/WOS indexed journals.
• Supervise graduate and doctoral students, including successful completion of Ph.D. theses.
• Participate in departmental committees, accreditation activities and community outreach.

Required profile

• UG degree with at least 75% marks or PG degree with at least 55% marks (or equivalent).
• Ph.D. in a relevant field is mandatory for all levels.
• Assistant Professor: No specific experience required beyond the Ph.D.
• Associate Professor: Minimum 8 years of full‑time teaching experience, including at least 2 years post‑Ph.D., and at least eight Scopus/WOS publications.
• Professor: Minimum 10 years of full‑time teaching experience, at least three years at the Associate Professor level, ten Scopus/WOS publications, and successful supervision of at least two Ph.D. scholars.

Required skills

• Subject‑matter expertise in Accounts, Audit, Taxation, Finance, General Management, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Analytics or Statistics.
• Ability to teach effectively and mentor students.
• Proven research capability with publications in indexed journals.
