About the role

We are looking for an experienced Speech Writer to craft compelling, audience‑focused speeches, statements, and scripted remarks for high‑visibility engagements such as public appearances, rallies, interviews, and conferences. The role requires translating complex political, social and economic ideas into clear, persuasive messaging that aligns with the speaker’s persona and strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Draft speeches, statements, talking points, and scripted remarks for diverse public engagements.
• Develop messaging that reflects the speaker’s vision, communication style, and target audience.
• Research political, social, economic, and current‑affairs topics to ensure relevance and accuracy.
• Convert policy positions and key messages into compelling narratives.
• Prepare briefing notes, Q&A documents, and interview scripts.
• Adapt content for different audiences, platforms, regions, and occasions.
• Incorporate feedback from senior leadership while maintaining message consistency.
• Collaborate with communication, media, digital, research, and PR teams.
• Monitor current affairs and public sentiment to identify communication opportunities.
• Ensure factual accuracy, political appropriateness, and alignment with overall strategy.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, Political Science, Public Relations, English, Communications, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in speech writing, political communications, public affairs, journalism, media, or strategic communications.
• Prior experience working with political leaders, public figures, government bodies, or senior executives is a plus.
• Excellent command of written and spoken English; proficiency in Hindi or other regional languages is advantageous.
• Strong understanding of political, social, economic, and current‑affairs issues.
