Production Technologist – Inserts PU

About the role

Sandvik Coromant is looking for two Production Technologists to join its Pune facility. You will be responsible for meeting production targets while ensuring safety and quality in the manufacturing of inserts.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve agreed production, quality, productivity and lead‑time targets.
• Drive continuous improvement in production methods and process inspection.
• Assist in preventive and breakdown maintenance of CVD and PVD machines.
• Ensure compliance with safety practices on the shop floor.
• Support training for operation and maintenance of CVD/PVD equipment.
• Improve batch quantity per charge and overall equipment utilization.
• Implement QMS and EHS procedural requirements.
• Maintain adequate inventory of spares and consumables.
• Uphold 5S standards throughout the plant.

Required profile

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• 3‑5 years of experience in CVD/PVD operations.
• Strong quality awareness and technical competence.
• Good judgement and ability to make data‑driven decisions.
• Alignment with Sandvik core values and leadership potential.
