Production Operator – Extrusion Machine

About the role

The Production Operator will run and monitor extrusion and compounding lines, ensuring consistent product quality and efficient operation. This position works with engineering plastics, elastomers and commodity plastics in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Operate extrusion and compounding machines using HMI/SCADA for real‑time process control.
• Feed raw materials accurately according to batch formulations and production schedules.
• Enter production data in SAP, maintain shift records and log information in Excel or system databases.
• Troubleshoot process and equipment issues to minimise downtime.
• Maintain product quality by controlling process parameters and coordinating with the Quality team.
• Handle material dosing, mixing, and operate pelletizing systems (underwater and strand).
• Perform packing tasks, including lifting 25‑30 kg bags while following ergonomic and safety guidelines.
• Support preventive maintenance activities and report equipment abnormalities.
• Coordinate manpower on the shop floor to meet production targets and enforce SOPs, 6S and safety standards.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or GED.
• At least 5 years of experience in a plastic or polymer production environment.
• Ability to work shift schedules and handle 25‑30 kg material bags.
