Production Manager - RTJ

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Production Manager to lead our Verna, Goa shop floor, overseeing CNC machining, fabrication, welding and RTJ gasket production. The role ensures efficient manufacturing, meets delivery targets and upholds quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise all shop‑floor activities including CNC machining, fabrication, welding and RTJ gasket production to achieve daily and monthly targets.
• Plan, schedule and execute production plans in coordination with dispatch, ensuring machine‑wise allocation and proper CNC program documentation.
• Prepare and submit daily production reports, review previous day’s operator reports and maintain accurate production documentation.
• Lead production planning discussions with dispatch, communicate prioritized plans to supervisors and ensure compliance with API standards and ISO 9001.
• Analyze product defects, monitor rejection rates and drive CAPA initiatives with full documentation.
• Define, document and implement TPM, TQM, 5S and JIT programmes after management approval.
• Coordinate with maintenance to keep all machines operational, manage spare parts inventory and minimise downtime.
• Monitor raw material requirements, control inventory and ensure uninterrupted workflow.
• Train and guide engineers, supervisors and shop‑floor workers on production planning, dispatch coordination and CNC programming fundamentals.
• Collaborate with quality, maintenance, purchase and dispatch teams to ensure smooth operations and timely execution.
• Implement process‑improvement and cost‑optimisation initiatives to boost productivity.
• Enforce health, safety and workplace standards across the shop floor and attend daily performance meetings.

Required profile

• Degree or Diploma in Mechanical or Production Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in manufacturing environments, preferably with CNC, fabrication, welding and RTJ gasket production.
• Strong knowledge of API standards, ISO 9001, TPM, TQM, 5S and JIT methodologies.
• Proven leadership and team‑management abilities.
