Production Manager – Pharmaceutical Manufacturing

About the role

The Production Manager will lead manufacturing and filling operations at our Pithampur Unit‑3 facility, ensuring that production targets are met while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Execute manufacturing plans, achieve schedule adherence and optimise utilisation of manpower, equipment and materials.
• Manage SAP, Viva, eBMR/EBR and PAS‑X MES systems for production tracking.
• Ensure cGMP, data integrity and 21 CFR Part 11 compliance; maintain audit readiness for USFDA, MHRA, EU, WHO.
• Lead deviation handling, investigations, CAPA, OOS/OOT and market complaint resolution.
• Drive Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, waste reduction and cost‑saving projects to improve yield, OEE and cycle times.
• Oversee equipment reliability, preventive maintenance and support automation and digitisation initiatives.
• Promote a zero‑accident safety culture, conduct risk assessments and incident investigations.
• Develop and coach production teams, manage performance, succession planning and employee engagement.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years of experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing with exposure to USFDA, MHRA or EU regulated facilities.
• Educational background in Pharmacy, Chemistry, Biotechnology, Engineering or related disciplines (B.Pharm/M.Pharm, B.E./B.Tech, M.Sc.).
• Proven leadership in large‑scale production environments and strong understanding of regulatory requirements.
