Production Manager – Manufacturing Plant

About the role

V M Bakery Products Private Limited is looking for an experienced Production Manager to lead its 35,000 sq ft. bakery plant in Vijayawada. You will own the end‑to‑end manufacturing process for both daily‑fresh breads and buns as well as ambient products such as rusks and cakes, ensuring on‑time dispatch and strict quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute daily and shift‑wise production schedules across short‑shelf‑life (SSL) and long‑shelf‑life (LSL) lines.
• Manage the full process flow: mixing, dough processing, proofing, baking (tunnel/rotary ovens), cooling, slicing and packaging.
• Coordinate with the finished‑goods store, dispatch and sales teams to align output with market demand.
• Lead a team of 70‑80 line supervisors, machine operators, packing staff and helpers, with maintenance reporting through a dedicated supervisor.
• Monitor output, quality, cost, safety and freshness metrics, taking corrective actions on the shop floor.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in the bread and bakery industry, including floor‑management responsibilities.
• Proven ability to run parallel production rhythms for SSL and LSL products.
• Diploma or degree in Food Technology, Hotel Management or a related field is preferred.
