Production Manager

About the role

Sun Pharma is seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead the compression area of its manufacturing unit in Ranipool, Sikkim. The role involves overseeing daily production operations, ensuring compliance with cGMP standards, and driving continuous improvement to meet monthly targets.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and execute production activities machine‑wise in the Compression Area.
• Monitor in‑process parameters online, complete log books and Batch Manufacturing Records (BMR).
• Ensure machine availability according to preventive maintenance schedules.
• Coordinate with IPQA, QC, Engineering, IT and MSTG departments for smooth production flow.
• Handle SAP‑related tasks and maintain production documentation per cGMP practices.
• Conduct calibration and verification of balances and other equipment.
• Manage shift handovers to achieve monthly production targets.
• Allocate and utilize manpower effectively, maintaining discipline and punctuality.
• Provide training to officers and workers.
• Investigate deviations/incidents and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Report any abnormalities to senior staff and perform other duties as assigned by the Department Head.

Required profile

• B.Pharm or M.Pharm degree.
• 14–18 years of experience in pharmaceutical production.
• Strong knowledge of cGMP regulations and production documentation.
• Proven ability to lead teams, manage shift operations and meet production targets.
• Excellent problem‑solving and decision‑making skills.
