Production Engineer – Die Manufacturing

About the role

The Production Engineer position is a full‑time, on‑site role based in Pune. You will oversee daily production activities for spline and thread forming dies, ensuring optimal use of machines, tools and manpower.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, monitor and adjust production schedules to meet delivery targets.
• Coordinate with design and tooling teams to align manufacturing processes.
• Optimize machine and tool utilization to reduce downtime and increase throughput.
• Implement and maintain quality‑control standards and conduct root‑cause analysis for production issues.
• Ensure compliance with safety and operational procedures on the shop floor.
• Prepare regular production reports and support continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Hands‑on troubleshooting of machines when required.

Required profile

• Strong background in production engineering, manufacturing processes, tooling and die fabrication.
• Analytical mindset for problem‑solving and data‑driven decision making.
• Experience in production planning, scheduling and resource allocation.
• Knowledge of quality‑control methods, inspection techniques and documentation.
• Effective communication skills for cross‑functional coordination.
• Diploma or degree in Mechanical/Production Engineering or related field.
• Prior experience in tool and die manufacturing, heat‑treatment or precision engineering is a plus.
• Familiarity with basic CAD drawings, ISO quality‑management systems and manufacturing safety practices.
