Product Owner – SAP Finance (RTR)

About the role

As a Technical Product Owner and SAP Finance functional lead, you will improve and enhance finance solutions across Record‑to‑Report (RTR), Procure‑to‑Pay (PTP), General Ledger, Consolidations, Accounts Payable and Fixed Assets, ensuring seamless integration and compliance with enterprise standards.

Key responsibilities

• Drive the finance systems roadmap and prioritize the backlog based on business value, controls and enterprise standards.
• Partner with Finance, Technology, Architecture and delivery teams to define requirements, user stories, functional specifications, acceptance criteria and test plans.
• Lead planning, governance, testing, release readiness and production deployment across Agile, Waterfall or hybrid delivery models.
• Guide delivery of SAP enhancements, interfaces, reports, reconciliations and lasting fixes for system, process and data issues.
• Keep stakeholders informed of priorities, risks, dependencies, decisions and delivery status.

Required profile

• 5+ years of SAP S/4 or ECC 6.0 FI/CO experience in support, enhancements, projects and continuous improvement.
• Strong SAP Finance functional and configuration knowledge, especially in General Ledger, Accounts Payable or Fixed Assets.
• Experience preparing functional specifications and delivering custom programs, reports, interfaces or enhancements.
• Proven experience with test planning, end‑to‑end testing, change control and production deployment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for working with Finance, business, IT and implementation partners.

Required skills

• SAP S/4 and SAP ECC 6.0 FI/CO modules.
• General Ledger, Accounts Payable (FI‑AP) and Fixed Assets (FI‑AA) configuration.
• Integration technologies such as EDI, IDoc, ALE, BAPI, RFC and connectors.
• Reporting tools including SAP BI/BO.
• Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Project.
