Product Manager – UPI Product (6-9 yrs experience)

About the role

Paytm is seeking a Product Manager to own and scale its UPI product suite, one of the largest fintech surfaces in India. The role combines strategic vision with hands‑on execution, driving a multi‑year roadmap that leverages AI, data and platform thinking to improve payment experiences at massive scale.

Key responsibilities

• Define the vision and multi‑year strategy for Paytm’s UPI products and translate it into a scalable roadmap.
• Drive core UPI metrics such as transaction success rate, activation, retention and market share while owning the relevant P&L levers.
• Champion an AI‑first culture by identifying opportunities for generative AI, ML‑based risk models, conversational interfaces and automation.
• Manage stakeholder relationships with NPCI, banking partners, regulators and internal risk/compliance teams.

Required profile

• 5‑10 years of product management experience in consumer fintech, payments or high‑scale internet products.
• Proven track record of owning large‑scale consumer‑facing products (tens of millions of users/transactions).
• Strong product analytics instincts with hands‑on experience in funnels, cohorts, SQL and experimentation frameworks.
• Demonstrated ability to apply AI/ML to real product problems such as personalization, fraud detection or workflow automation.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills across engineering, regulators and executives.

Required skills

• SQL for data querying and analysis.
• AI/ML concepts, including generative AI, large language models and risk modeling.
• Data analysis tools and experimentation frameworks.
