Product Manager – UPI Payments (3-5 yrs experience)

About the role

UPI is the backbone of India's digital payments revolution and Paytm processes hundreds of millions of transactions each month. We are looking for a Product Manager to join our UPI team, drive product strategy, user growth and experience excellence across UPI‑powered flows. The role sits at the intersection of consumer behaviour, financial infrastructure and regulatory nuance, owning high‑impact product surfaces used daily by millions of Indians.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end product vision, roadmap and execution for one or more UPI surfaces.
• Drive seamless payment flows and improve conversion, success rates and drop‑off through A/B testing and experimentation.
• Ensure compliance with NPCI guidelines and regulatory changes while maintaining a frictionless user experience.
• Define reliability metrics, build escalation frameworks and prepare the platform for high‑traffic events such as festive seasons and government disbursements.
• Generate insights, maintain dashboards and foster a rapid‑experiment culture across engineering, design and business teams.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of product management experience in consumer‑facing or fintech products.
• Strong understanding of user psychology, engagement funnels and conversion mechanics.
• Ability to translate ambiguous problems into structured hypotheses and ship iterative solutions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, capable of drafting PRDs and aligning cross‑functional stakeholders.
