Product Manager

About the role

Sarvam is building India’s sovereign AI platform and seeks product managers who are builders first. You will work on consumer AI products, enterprise platforms, developer tools, speech systems, or edge deployments, depending on your strengths and interests.

Key responsibilities

• Own a product area end‑to‑end: talk to users, write specs, define success metrics, ship, and measure outcomes.
• Deep‑dive into AI system behavior in production, including prompt design, model selection, latency budgets, failure modes, and evaluation pipelines.
• Write code, prompts, and copy when that is the fastest path to learning or validating an idea.
• Set up funnels, write queries, and instrument events to diagnose what’s working and what’s broken.
• Collaborate directly with engineering, design, and leadership without layers or hand‑offs.
• Ship product every week, not just plans.

Required profile

• 3–7 years of product management experience with shipped products at meaningful scale in strong B2C or B2B companies in India.
• Current product manager (not a transition from consulting, project or program management).
• Hands‑on familiarity with AI: built agents, understand context windows, and have considered trade‑offs such as cost vs. latency vs. accuracy.
• Strong data skills: comfortable writing SQL, setting up funnels in tools like PostHog or Mixpanel, and defining meaningful success metrics.
• System thinker who sees component handshakes, failure modes, and dependencies.
• High ownership and agency; you solve problems without waiting for permission.
• Clear communicator able to explain complex technical concepts simply to engineers, leadership, and users.
