Product Engineer - Android

About the role

MangoApps is seeking an experienced native Android developer to design and enhance powerful intranet and mobile collaboration tools for enterprise users. You will work closely with UI/UX designers and QA teams to deliver high‑quality, user‑friendly applications across the Android ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Conceptualise, design and implement Android applications compatible with a wide range of devices.
• Follow Google’s Android design principles and interface guidelines.
• Monitor product reviews, identify improvement areas, and deliver updates including bug fixes and new features.
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers and software testers to ensure each release is polished and functional.
• Maintain and optimise the existing codebase for performance and scalability.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of professional experience as an Android developer.
• Strong understanding of OOP concepts, design patterns and data structures.

Required skills

• Android Studio and Android SDK.
• Core Java and Kotlin.
• Android ecosystem knowledge (emulators, screen sizes, orientation handling).
• API integration, JSON handling, Git version control.
• Experience with third‑party libraries.
• Push‑notification and Firebase integration.
• LiveData, ViewModel architecture.
• SQLite, Firebase or Room databases.
• Play Store publishing and guidelines.
