Product Design Engineer – LVDB

About the role

The Product Design Engineer – LVDB will support the creation and development of new electrical products and components, ensuring they meet quality, cost, and schedule targets. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to turn concepts into manufacturable designs and prototypes.

Key responsibilities

• Develop concepts for new products, components, or improvements to existing designs and prepare proposals, mock‑ups, and samples for approval.
• Conduct manufacturing feasibility studies, including mold design and die layout assessments.
• Create detailed 3D models and 2D drawings using SAP ECTR, generate BOMs, perform tolerance stack‑up analysis, and release designs for production.
• Prepare prototypes, functional demo samples, and support pilot‑lot production, field trials, and preliminary product testing.
• Design packaging solutions, product leaflets, and catalogues; maintain NPD stage‑gate documentation.
• Manage product lifecycle activities, change management actions, and document production trials for continuous improvement.
• Maintain a safe, organized work environment following 6S standards and proper inventory handling.

Required profile

• Ability to acquire and update technical skills relevant to product design engineering.
• Proven capability to deliver planned activities on schedule and within cost targets.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety standards.
