Procurement Sourcing Specialist – SaaS Focus

About the role

ThoughtSpot’s Procurement team is undergoing a transformation to centralise intake, automate workflows and provide CFO‑level visibility across spend. We are looking for a Procurement Sourcing Specialist who will own a high‑volume RFQ/PR pipeline, manage vendor relationships for indirect categories—primarily SaaS—and drive cost‑saving initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and prioritise a large pipeline of RFQ and purchase‑request (PR) tickets, ensuring SLA compliance and flagging bottlenecks.
• Lead end‑to‑end RFP processes: scope requirements, run competitive sourcing events and award contracts.
• Own the full vendor lifecycle – onboarding, performance tracking, master‑data maintenance and compliance checks (security assessments, NDAs, insurance).
• Coordinate contract renewals, maintain expiration calendars and work with Legal and Finance on renewal negotiations.
• Identify and execute cost‑optimisation opportunities with business stakeholders through consolidation, competitive bids and data‑driven negotiations.
• Leverage AI‑enabled tools and automation to reduce manual effort, build trackers and dashboards, and improve reporting visibility.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Commerce, Management or a related discipline.
• 4‑6 years of procurement or sourcing experience, preferably within a SaaS or technology environment.
• Proven record of managing vendor negotiations, RFPs and contract renewals.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets (pivot tables, formulas, basic dashboards).
• Basic scripting ability in Python or JavaScript for data queries or simple automation.
• Familiarity with SQL for data extraction.
