Procurement Officer

About the role

We are seeking a Procurement Officer to support fleet operations worldwide. The role is hands‑on, working closely with Procurement Managers, Vessel Managers and suppliers to ensure timely and accurate procurement for vessels.

Key responsibilities

• Execute procurement activities aligned with vessel schedules, avoiding avoidable delays.
• Raise and manage Purchase Orders, obtain quotations and follow up on orders.
• Collaborate daily with Procurement Managers and Vessel Managers on operational needs.
• Support cost control by sourcing competitive quotations and challenging inconsistencies.
• Coordinate delivery status, documentation and issue resolution with suppliers.
• Resolve routine and urgent supply issues, escalating when necessary.
• Ensure compliance with procurement procedures, systems and approval workflows.
• Monitor order and invoice status for accuracy and timely processing.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of procurement processes and service delivery.

Required profile

• 2–4 years of maritime procurement or purchasing experience.
• Familiarity with vessel operations, spares and logistics.
• Experience with procurement systems, preferably BASSnet or similar.
• Strong organisational and follow‑up discipline.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
• Clear and effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
