Procurement Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to lead the sourcing of raw materials for our manufacturing operations. The role involves close collaboration with Production, Planning, Quality, R&D, Finance, and Stores to ensure uninterrupted production while optimizing cost and quality.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end sourcing and procurement of raw materials to meet production schedules.
• Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers while maintaining strong relationships with existing vendors.
• Negotiate prices, payment terms, contracts, and delivery schedules for optimal commercial outcomes.
• Conduct market analysis to monitor price trends, identify alternate sources, and mitigate supply risks.
• Work with Planning and Production teams to forecast requirements and avoid stock shortages.
• Coordinate with Quality and R&D for supplier qualification, material approvals, and alternate material development.
• Drive cost‑saving initiatives through strategic sourcing, value engineering, and supplier negotiations.
• Monitor supplier performance on quality, delivery, responsiveness, and competitiveness.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and audit requirements.
• Prepare procurement reports, cost analyses, and performance dashboards for management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Commerce, Supply Chain or related field.
• MBA/PGDM in Supply Chain, Operations or Procurement preferred.
• 5–8 years of procurement or sourcing experience in FMCG, Cosmetics, Personal Care or Chemical industries.
• Hands‑on experience sourcing chemicals, fragrances, packaging materials, oils, surfactants or similar raw materials.
