Process Expert – Asset Lease Accounting

About the role

Join BASF’s new Global Hub in India as a Process Expert focused on Asset Lease Accounting. You will provide end‑to‑end Book‑to‑Report (B2R) expertise, drive process standardisation, and ensure compliance with global accounting standards.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver expert support for B2R activities across Service Delivery Units.
• Guide transition of new service scopes while adhering to global SOPs, tools, and change‑management requirements.
• Design, govern, and continuously improve Project Accounting and Asset & Leasing Accounting processes worldwide.
• Manage the global service portfolio, including KPIs, controls, compliance requirements, and service definitions.
• Lead finance process optimisation, systems modernisation, and related project‑management initiatives.
• Maintain and control relevant SAP tables and systems to ensure data integrity.

Required profile

• Strong background in finance or accounting, preferably with experience in asset leasing or project accounting.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a global, cross‑functional environment.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills with a focus on process excellence.
