About the role

The HP College of Education seeks an experienced academic leader to serve as Principal for its Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) and Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.) programmes. The role involves steering the institution toward academic excellence, regulatory compliance, and innovative teacher training.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic academic and administrative leadership for B.Ed. and D.El.Ed. programmes.
• Ensure full compliance with NCTE, HPBOSE, affiliating university, and statutory requirements.
• Lead accreditation processes, inspections, and quality‑assurance initiatives.
• Promote excellence in teaching, curriculum design, internships, school partnerships, research, and innovation.
• Mentor faculty, foster continuous professional development, and oversee admissions, examinations, and student welfare.
• Strengthen collaborations with schools, educational organisations, and government bodies.
• Drive strategic planning, institutional growth, and outcome‑based education initiatives.

Required profile

• Post‑graduate degree in a relevant discipline with a consistently good academic record.
• M.Ed. from a recognised institution.
• Ph.D. in Education or a related field (preferred/required as per regulations).
• Experience meeting NCTE and HPBOSE criteria for a principal, including substantial teaching, academic administration, and leadership experience.
