Principal Electrical Engineer (MEP)

About the role

The Principal Engineer – Electrical (MEP) will act as a senior technical advisor, providing specialized input to studies and designs across multidisciplinary projects. This role ensures high‑quality, cost‑effective solutions and supports the delivery of complex infrastructure initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as a technical advisor for the team and provide specialized input to design studies.
• Develop study and design procedures to promote high‑quality, cost‑effective work.
• Participate in interdisciplinary reviews of project deliverables.
• Prepare construction cost estimates and technical effort estimates.
• Execute all steps of the discipline component of PS&E packages.
• Perform quality‑control reviews of design calculations and drawings.
• Prepare technical specification sections and contribute to engineering budget and schedule development.

Required profile

• 10‑16 years of design experience in MEP projects, preferably in mixed‑use, rail, healthcare or data‑center sectors.
• Familiarity with BS and American standards and regional regulations.
• Post‑graduation in Electrical Engineering with IEng or CEng accreditation (advantageous).
• Experience on UK projects is a plus.
