Principal Consultant – Transportation & Infrastructure Advisory

About the role

WSP is seeking an experienced Principal Consultant to lead technical and commercial due diligence and strategic advisory for transportation and infrastructure assets. You will work across the full transaction cycle, supporting investors, lenders and developers on a diverse portfolio that includes roads, rail, airports, ports and urban mobility solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver technical due‑diligence studies covering asset condition, lifecycle performance, demand forecasts, traffic/revenue assumptions and capacity utilisation.
• Assess capital expenditure requirements, O&M strategies, contracts and performance benchmarking.
• Provide strategic advice on PPP/PFI concessions, investment cases, business plans, valuation inputs and risk mitigation.
• Contribute technical and commercial insights to bid preparation and proposal development.
• Leverage WSP’s broader capabilities in digital, energy interface and sustainability for cross‑sector assignments.
• Participate in international site visits and stakeholder meetings as required.

Required profile

• Senior‑level professional with extensive experience in transportation and infrastructure advisory.
• Proven track record in technical and commercial due diligence for a range of asset classes.
• Ability to work across end‑to‑end transaction cycles and support international engagements.
• Strong analytical mindset with experience in risk identification and mitigation.
