About the role
Capco is seeking a Principal Consultant to lead financial crime, risk, regulation and finance transformation projects for major financial institutions. You will advise on AML/KYC, transaction monitoring, sanctions and fraud, helping clients meet regulatory obligations and optimise costs.
Key responsibilities
- Support clients in achieving compliance with regulatory obligations, including remediation and regulatory review responses.
- Design and implement automated financial crime, sanctions and fraud operating models using AI and other emerging technologies.
- Analyse client capabilities to identify cost‑saving and risk‑management opportunities within anti‑financial‑crime and anti‑fraud functions.
- Assess, benchmark and redesign target operating models, controls and processes for financial crime and fraud.
- Source and implement technology solutions for KYC, transaction monitoring, sanctions screening and fraud detection.
Required profile
- Strong understanding of financial crime, sanctions and fraud regulations, risk assessment and the three‑lines‑of‑defence model.
- Proven experience delivering automation and transformation projects, preferably with AI.
- Background as a management consultant or in a change role within a financial services institution.
- Excellent interpersonal, written communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to mentor junior team members and contribute to business development.
