Principal Analyst Tech Compliance

About the role

We are looking for a Licensing Subject Matter Expert to own end‑to‑end software license compliance for SAP estates and Tier‑2/3 publishers across on‑prem, hybrid and cloud environments. The role combines deep SaaS licensing expertise with hands‑on SAM platform management to protect the organization and optimise software spend.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver end‑to‑end software license compliance as the Licensing SME for SAP estates and Tier‑2/3 publishers.
• Demonstrate strong expertise in SaaS licensing measurement and monitoring for platforms such as Adobe, Microsoft 365 and ServiceNow.
• Analyze contracts, entitlements and usage data to provide actionable compliance and risk insights.
• Manage the license lifecycle on SAM platforms (Flexera One, ServiceNow) – data extraction, entitlement configuration, compliance analysis and reporting.
• Extract and reconcile data from SAP RISE/ECC and cloud platforms to support accurate consumption analysis and audit defence.
• Drive demand forecasting and license planning in partnership with Procurement, IT and Legal teams.
• Lead internal and external software audits and identify optimisation opportunities to reduce cost and compliance exposure.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience with SAM platforms and license‑lifecycle management.
• Practical knowledge of data extraction from SAP RISE/ECC and cloud publishing platforms.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally with Procurement, IT, Legal and business stakeholders.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret licensing contracts and usage data.
