Principal Analyst – Nigeria Operations

About the role

AB InBev GCC leverages data and analytics to drive growth across operations, finance, people and technology. The Principal Analyst – Nigeria Ops will ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, audit closure and internal‑control compliance for the assigned legal entity. This role partners with multiple zones to improve efficiency and productivity.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review annual financial statements, balance sheets, cash‑flow statements and supporting schedules for the legal entity.
• Lead end‑to‑end audit closure for African and European entities, handling queries from Big 4 auditors and other stakeholders.
• Perform balance‑sheet reconciliations, inter‑company transaction reviews and foreign‑exchange gain/loss testing.
• Ensure compliance with SOX, MICS, internal controls and local GAAP/IFRS reporting standards.
• Support global and country‑level finance projects (e.g., GCOA, FCCS, Cognos) by providing expertise and tracking action plans.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and a professional chartered qualification (ICAI, ACCA, CPA or CIMA UK).
• Minimum 4 years post‑qualification experience in a large‑scale manufacturing environment, including full‑cycle financial accounting and group consolidation.
• Hands‑on experience managing audits with Big 4 firms and addressing audit queries independently.
• Strong communication, organizational and stakeholder‑management skills, with fluency in English.

Required skills

• SAP (mandatory) and Oracle financial systems.
• Experience with large‑scale reporting tools such as HFM, BCS FET, FCCS or Cognos.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, calculated fields, VBA/macros).
• Knowledge of IFRS, IND AS, IGAAP, Africa GAAP and UK GAAP.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
