Principal Analyst – FP&A

About the role

AB InBev’s Global Capability Center in Bangalore is looking for a Principal Analyst – FP&A to lead the end‑to‑end financial planning and analysis process. The role oversees Cognos submissions, actuals, accruals, budgeting and forecasting, ensuring data accuracy and delivering insightful reports to business leaders. You will work closely with Business Unit managers to translate commercial performance into actionable financial insights.

Key responsibilities

• Execute month‑end closing activities across Cognos, Anaplan and accruals, maintaining accuracy and meeting the Annual Planning Cycle.
• Validate and correct data using Qlik‑sense, Anaplan and Cognos, preventing financial surprises.
• Prepare and analyse reports, collaborate with BU managers on findings, and support volume/financial submissions.
• Drive process standardisation and improvement initiatives for month‑end closing and reporting.
• Ensure timely LE and budget data submission to support the MEC routine and annual planning.
• Monitor compliance with policies, update documentation, and maintain SLAs with GCC and business teams.
• Coordinate team activities, act as backup for the manager, and sustain business continuity.

Required profile

• Chartered accountant qualification or a master’s degree in accounting, finance or a related field.
• 4‑5 years of experience in controlling, financial reporting and strong FP&A responsibilities.
• Experience working in a multinational, process‑oriented environment.
